Fuel sending unit replacement
Auto sending units can be reused. There is a Stinson newsletter on using these Stewart Warner D-385-B units so I bought some off of eBay.

Kydex is moldable
I wanted to test just how maluable Kydex was so I took a scrap piece and heated it up with a heat gun. I then used a roll of tape and a coffee cup and look how well it formed and then when it cooled it was strong in this shape.
