Door latches
There are two door types, one is what I call the FRAMED door on early airframes and then the STAMPED door on later builds.

Framed (blue) and Stamped (white) |
The door LATCH mechanism is different in each door type framed/stamped but then there is another difference in outside door handles, Protruding and Flush.

Here is my question for other Stinson experts, knowing that Stinson was building aircraft in Detroit Michigan, did Stinson build their own door latch or did they use door latches that were already being built by another company?

It would be nice if we knew of a cross reference for such a thing! Please add a comment below if you know of anything like that or contact me directly.

Front seat retention
The chance of the front seat sliding back and tipping backwards is possible.Steve Ruff made some mods to prevent this, some turn the slide around 180 degrees.
The bolt is the normal way this is prevented
